Life is busy; we’re constantly on the go and supermarket shelves are packed with supposedly healthy snacks to fuel our bodies throughout the day. But many still contain ingredients that, ensure a longer shelf life, but really aren’t very good for us. Homemade is quite simply the best option - yet it is time consuming and most of us just don’t have this luxury. Snacks need to be full of sources of sustained energy such as oats, nut butters, fruit and vegetables. However, the majority of those we buy are high in sugar and salt, but low in these vital nutrients to support body and brain throughout our busy day.

I’m constantly tweaking recipes to pack them full of goodness from real foods and wholegrains. This in turn supports, not only our physical and mental wellbeing, but often our immune systems, energy levels and mood too!
