Harissa Spiced Hummus

£4.25

Whilst supermarket-bought hummus has become a staple for many, it’s tricky to find a brand that doesn’t include seed oils in the ingredients list. In a bid to avoid these potentially damaging oils (- such as rapeseed, sunflower etc), I realised just how quick and easy it is to make my own…

The secret seems to be that chickpeas from a jar rather than a tin are more flavoursome ( - albeit a little more expensive too…) and the addition of ice cubes to the mix enhances the desired creamy texture ( - the latter thanks to a top tip by another of my foodie faves @healthygirlkitchen). Not only that but I love the spicy kick from the harissa, which makes it taste just that little bit more special and brings even more health benefits into the mix.

The perfect accompaniment to my Seeded Crackers - why not order both today? x
